Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8b Bridge Zebra Passive Humbucker Electric Guitar Pickup (Preorder)

Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8b Bridge Zebra Passive Humbucker Pickup – Ultra-High Output & Massive Tone

Overview

Installing an Invader changes your guitar’s DNA. The Seymour Duncan Invader (SH-8) is an aggressive, passive humbucker with a look and sound like no other. Loud, vicious, and unapologetic, it transforms your guitar into the mean, heavy-sounding beast you always knew it could be. No matter how dangerous your stock pickup claims to sound, the Invader delivers a massive sonic upgrade that is perfect for metal, hard rock, and heavy alternative styles.

Why Choose the Seymour Duncan Invader?

• Ultra-High Output: The Invader’s power comes from a combination of specially overwound coils, three large ceramic magnets, and its striking, oversized metal oxide pole pieces.

• Massive, Rich Tone: The unique oversized pole pieces expand the overall magnetic field and widen the frequency spectrum, which is why every note played through an Invader sounds so rich and massive.

• Thickest Low-End Response: The Invader delivers the thickest, deepest low-end response of any passive pickup Seymour Duncan makes. Chords sound almost subsonic with lower tunings, but balance nicely with the crunchy treble, keeping everything well defined.

• Bridge vs. Neck Models: While the bridge model looks mean and vicious (because it is), the neck model couples intimidating looks with a surprisingly warm, restrained sound—yielding a thick crunch and moaning sustain, making it the perfect partner to the high-output bridge.

• Hand-Built in the USA: Hand-built in the Seymour Duncan Santa Barbara, CA factory, featuring a nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and vacuum wax potting for squeal-free performance.
