Origin Effects Bassrig Super Vintage | The World's Favourite Bass Amp Tones
Complete Vintage Bass Amp in a Pedal – All-Analogue SVT Recreation with DI & Cab Sim
The BASSRIG Super Vintage is, quite simply, a complete vintage bass amp in a pedal. Based on the iconic Ampeg® SVT®, Origin Effects has used all-analogue circuitry to recreate a complete valve amp-style signal path, along with an all-analogue cabinet simulator, giving you all the warmth, feel and drive of this classic bass rig in one small box.
When the SVT® arrived on the scene in 1969, it rewrote the rulebook for purpose-built bass amplification. Released as the world's first purpose-built, high-powered bass amp, it remains the first choice for the biggest names in bass guitar. Thanks to its enormous power, deep bass, growling overdrive and purposeful control set, this tower of tone has remained the amp of choice for the most discerning bassists on the world's biggest stages.
The BASSRIG Super Vintage captures every nuance of the Ampeg® SVT® and its iconic 8×10 speaker cabinet—all without needing a team of roadies to move it. With XLR and ¼" outputs, the BASSRIG Super Vintage fits seamlessly into any signal chain, no matter how simple or complex, and its powerful Amp Out EQ tailors your sound to work with any amp, meaning you never have to compromise on tone.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Complete Valve Amp-Style Signal Path: All-analogue circuitry recreates the entire SVT signal path—dedicated class-A preamp, phase inverter, and push-pull output stage—delivering stunningly realistic tone, feel and dynamic response.
-
Reactive Design: Simulates the interaction between amp and speaker for realistic feel and authentic sound—the thing that gives valve amps the playing feel that players love.
-
Balanced DI Output with Analogue Cabinet Simulator: XLR output features an all-analogue simulation of the Ampeg® SVT® 8×10 speaker cabinet—essential to the SVT sound. A three-position switch lets you select whether the cab sim is always active, only on when engaged, or off for use with external IR loaders.
-
Powerful Amp Out EQ: Proprietary EQ filter with LF and HF trimmers and a HORN CUT switch lets you tailor the BASSRIG's ¼" Amp Out to work with any amp and cab. Tame boominess in big cabs, prevent harshness with tweeter-equipped rigs, or fatten up small combos—so you never have to compromise your amp settings to flatter the pedal or vice versa.
-
BLEND Control for Parallel Compression: Mixes your drive sound in parallel with your clean signal for subtle low-end clarity, or create massive bi-amp-style overdrive tones.
-
Full Range of SVT Tones: From clean to overdriven—captures everything from warm, punchy cleans to the legendary growling overdrive that defined countless recordings.
-
Familiar, Responsive Controls: DRIVE, BASS, MIDRANGE, and TREBLE controls let you dial in instantly recognisable vintage and modern SVT tones. The gain control functions exactly like the volume knob on a non-master-volume valve amp.
-
Tour-Grade Construction: Hand-polished, brushed stainless steel enclosure with aluminium controls, Neutrik® jack sockets, and heavy-duty footswitch—equally at home on the road and in the studio.
-
High-Impedance Buffered Bypass: Silent switching with signal integrity maintained.
-
Designed and Built in England: Hand-assembled with meticulous attention to detail.
