Jim Dunlop Nylon Standard Pick 0.60mm – The Original Nylon Pick, Warm Tone, Perfect Balance of Flex and Control
The Pick That Started It All. Trusted by Legends. Made in the USA.
Dunlop Nylon Standard Picks provide the warmth, flexibility, and resilience harnessed by numerous guitar legends to record some of rock 'n' roll's most iconic hits. Our first ever pick offering, Nylon Standard Picks provide warmth, flexibility, and durability. We start with high-quality Nylon for its timeless sonic character and the perfect amount of give. Then, we use precision-molding to impart a rounded edge for a release that's nice and smooth. The standard pick shape offers a familiar feel in the hand, while a raised logo gripping surface makes the Nylon Standard Pick a cinch to control when digging in.
The 0.60mm Gauge – The Perfect Balance of Flex and Control
The 0.60mm Nylon Standard Pick is identified by its iconic orange color and offers a versatile middle ground between light and medium gauges. This pick provides just the right amount of flexibility for expressive playing while maintaining enough stiffness for articulate single-note lines. The 0.60mm gauge is ideal for:
-
Versatile Playing: Perfect for players who switch between strumming and picking.
-
Rhythm and Lead: The balanced flex and snap make it suitable for chords, riffs, and solos.
-
Acoustic and Electric: Works equally well on acoustic strumming and electric lead work.
-
The Golden Mean: Not too thin, not too thick—just right for almost any style.
The Original Nylon Pick – A Revolution in Pick-Making
With our Nylon Pick line, we rewrote the book on pick-making and gave players more options and more confidence when choosing their picks. We created seven gauges instead of the limited and vaguely defined Light, Medium, and Heavy popular at the time. Labeled by thickness from .38mm to 1.25mm, this gave players twice as many gauges and the confidence that they knew what they were getting. Today, Dunlop Nylon Picks come in a variety of forms to accommodate every style and skill level.
Raised Logo Gripping Surface – Secure Control
The raised logo gripping surface makes the Nylon Standard Pick a cinch to control when digging in. Even during aggressive playing, the textured surface provides enough grip to keep you in command of your pick.
