Bacchus BPB-1DX-RSM-M Sunburst 4-String Bass Guitar – Roasted Maple Neck, Stainless Steel Frets & Poplar Body
Classic P-Bass Style. Premium Modern Upgrades. Stunning Sunburst Finish.
The Bacchus BPB-1DX-RSM-M is a 4-string bass that takes the beloved Precision Bass formula and elevates it with premium modern materials. Featuring a poplar body, roasted maple neck and fingerboard, and stainless steel frets, this bass delivers exceptional stability, rich resonance, and a smooth, broken-in feel right out of the gig bag. The classic Sunburst finish ensures timeless good looks, while the original P-type pickup and vintage fixed bridge provide the familiar tone and playability that bassists demand.
Roasted Maple Neck & Fingerboard – Premium Tone and Stability
Roasted maple is a standout feature of this instrument. The heat-treatment process removes moisture and impurities from the wood, resulting in a neck that is more resistant to temperature and humidity changes, while also enhancing resonance and sustain. The roasted maple fingerboard offers a smooth, fast playing surface with a warm, articulate tone that sits perfectly in any mix. Whether you're playing fingerstyle, pick, or slap, the BPB-1DX-RSM-M responds with clarity and depth.
Stainless Steel Frets – Durability That Lasts
This bass is equipped with stainless steel frets, a premium feature rarely found at this price point. Stainless steel frets are significantly harder and more durable than traditional nickel-silver frets, meaning they resist wear and keep their smooth, polished feel for years of heavy playing. They also provide a brighter, more articulate tone with enhanced sustain—perfect for players who demand reliability and performance.
Poplar Body – Balanced Resonance
The poplar body provides a balanced, resonant foundation with a warm, even tonal character. Poplar is known for its light weight and comfortable feel, making this bass ideal for long practice sessions, recording dates, and live performances. The polyurethane finish protects the instrument while showcasing the classic Sunburst aesthetic.
Classic P-Type Pickup with Simple Controls
Equipped with an original P-type split-coil pickup, this bass delivers the iconic Precision Bass tone—fat, punchy, and full of midrange presence. The simple control layout of 1 volume and 1 tone gives you complete command over your sound, allowing you to dial in anything from deep, thumping lows to biting, articulate punch. This is the familiar, intuitive control set that bassists love.
Vintage Fixed Bridge & Open Gear Tuners
The vintage fixed-type bridge provides solid resonance transfer and reliable intonation, while open gear machine heads offer smooth, accurate tuning with a classic look. A PPS nut ensures optimal tone transfer and tuning stability. Together, these components ensure your bass stays in tune and performs reliably night after night.
Comfortable Playability
With a 34-inch (864mm) scale length, 38.0mm nut width, and 305R fingerboard radius, the BPB-1DX-RSM-M offers a comfortable, familiar feel for bassists of all styles. Whether you're a beginner looking for your first serious bass or a seasoned player wanting a reliable workhorse, this bass delivers.
