At its core lies a heat-treated Roasted Maple neck for unparalleled stability and a fast, smooth playing feel, paired with a warm Rosewood fingerboard that delivers that classic, articulate J-Bass voice. Loaded with an Original JB-Type pickup and passive 2-Volume, 1-Tone control layout, this bass offers the flexible, punchy tone that has defined countless records across funk, rock, jazz, and pop.
Roasted Maple Neck – Stability, Resonance, & Speed
The Roasted Maple neck is a premium feature rarely found at this price point. Through a specialized heat-treatment process, the wood is stabilized and enhanced:
-
Ultimate Stability – Resists warping from humidity and temperature changes; your setup remains consistent gig after gig.
-
Enhanced Resonance – Delivers a focused, punchy midrange with exceptional sustain and note clarity.
-
Fast, Smooth Feel – The roasting process eliminates the need for thick, sticky finishes; the neck feels dry, silky, and broken-in from the very first note.
Rosewood Fingerboard – Warmth & Articulation
Paired with the roasted Maple is a genuine Rosewood fingerboard, offering:
-
Rich, Full-Bodied Tone – Adds warmth and complexity to the bass's fundamental voice, smoothing out the high-end for a more vocal character.
-
Smooth Playability – The natural oils in Rosewood provide a comfortable, slick surface for fast runs, slides, and intricate fingerstyle work.
-
Nut Width : 38.0mm – the classic J-Bass spacing that feels comfortable for both pick playing and aggressive fingerstyle grooves.

Why Choose the Bacchus BJB-1-RSM-R?
Most budget-friendly J-Bass copies use standard Maple necks with thick, sticky finishes. The BJB-1-RSM-R gives you a genuine roasted Maple neck – a premium upgrade that improves stability, feel, and resonance. Add the striking Olympic White + Black Pearl Pickguard aesthetic, the classic passive JB pickup tone, and the included gig bag, and you have a bass that delivers custom-shop vibe at an entry-level price point.
