Bacchus 4 String Bass Guitar BPB-1DX-RSM-M Black Roasted Maple Neck Stainless Steel Frets

The Bacchus BPB-1DX-RSM-M represents the pinnacle of the brand’s entry-to-mid-tier evolution. The "DX" designation sets this instrument apart with heightened attention to fretwork, setup precision, and overall playability—making it a formidable workhorse for the gigging musician. Blending vintage P-Bass tonal DNA with modern materials engineering, this bass is built to withstand the rigors of the road while delivering the sonic warmth and punch that defined generations of popular music.
Key Features & Engineering:
-
Thermally Modified Roasted Maple Neck: The neck and fingerboard undergo a specialized heat-treatment process to remove moisture and residual oils. The result is an exceptionally stable neck that resists warping due to climate shifts, alongside a silky-smooth, satin-like texture that requires minimal break-in time. The aesthetic dark caramel hue perfectly contrasts the sleek black body.
-
Stainless Steel Fretwork (Pro-Level Durability): Unlike conventional nickel-silver frets, the stainless steel frets on this model offer superior resistance to wear and oxidation. They impart a brighter, more articulate attack with enhanced string separation, while their glassy surface drastically reduces friction during bends, glissandos, and vibrato. This ensures pristine intonation for decades of heavy use.
-
Authoritative P-Style Voicing: Fitted with an Original Bacchus P-Type split-coil pickup, this bass delivers that iconic, mid-forward thump that defines the rock, funk, and pop genres. The pickup’s hum-cancelling design provides a quiet, noise-free performance, while the straightforward 1 Volume / 1 Tone passive control scheme offers a wide, usable sweep from deep, dubby lows to crisp, cutting highs.
-
Resonant & Lightweight Construction: The Poplar body, finished in a durable Black Polyurethane coating, offers a balanced acoustic resonance with a focused low-end response. Its lightweight nature alleviates shoulder strain during extended performances, allowing for total stage freedom.
-
Hardware & Tuning Stability: The vintage-correct Fixed Type bridge ensures rock-solid intonation and sustain, while Open Gear tuning machines provide classic aesthetics paired with precise and reliable tuning retention. The 38.0mm PPS nut facilitates a comfortable playing feel, ideal for players transitioning from guitar or those preferring a slimmer grip.
