FREE THE TONE has launched the SOV-3 OVERDRIVE pedal, evolving from the SOV-2, which was discontinued in 2018. In response to demand, a limited quantity of the SOV-2 is being produced and sold through the CUSTOM SHOP as of April 22, 2023.
The SOV-2 features a high-performance DC-DC converter that boosts voltage from 9Vdc to ±15Vdc, enhancing dynamic range and replicating the subtle nuances of guitar playing while delivering a rich, tube-like drive sound. Each unit showcases a unique design tailored for musicians, with unpainted die-cast cases and a handwritten signature from developer Yukihiro Hayashi.
Although not using vacuum tubes, the SOV-2 aims to emulate their characteristics through careful power circuit design and optimization of the signal path. The pedal is compatible with various amps, including Marshall and Fender, and works well in combination with other overdrive pedals, encouraging users to explore its capabilities.

Refund/returning items
We do not accept order changes after the confirmation and payment of your order. After your product is delivered, Refunds are only possible if it is caused by our error (damaged/defective product, or incorrect item, etc.). To help us ascertain if your refund request is possible, please provide us with specific reasons for your refund request (reasons supported with photos where possible) via email to: enquiry@davisguitar.com – Please include your address too.
If the refund/return is approved, we shall provide you with an address for you to post the items you wish to return to. Please have the items in proper packaging and mail it back to the address we provide strictly within 2 days from receiving your items. The length of time your Refund in transit is beyond our control, your bank or credit card company may require additional period of time to process your refund and for the refund to be reflected in your account.
