Takamine GN30CE BSB Sunburst Acoustic Electric Guitar Solid Spruce Top

Takamine GN30CE-BSB Acoustic/Electric Guitar – Solid Spruce Top with NEX Body & TP-4TD Electronics

Overview

The Takamine GN30CE-BSB is a stage-worthy acoustic/electric guitar that combines solid-top construction, superior-sounding Takamine electronics, and the compact but big-sounding NEX body style with a soft Venetian-style cutaway. The GN30CE’s comfortable body features a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides that produce a rich, resonant sound. The slim mahogany neck and 12”-radius ovangkol fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TP-4TD preamp system gives you a built-in tuner with three-band EQ and gain controls for excellent amplified performance and versatility. Other great features include a pin-less ovangkol bridge, synthetic bone nut and split bridge saddle, ovangkol headcap, pearloid rosette and dot inlays, chrome die-cast tuners, and a beautiful gloss finish.

The NEX Body Shape – Compact Size, Jumbo Voice

The NEX body shape is essentially a jumbo that is shrunken down to the dimensions of a dreadnought. Its slimmer waist makes it very comfortable to play while seated, and it has the totally classic vibe of a jumbo shape. Tonally, the NEX shape gives you a very glossy, strong strumming sound without much physical effort. There is less percussion than a dreadnought, so it is better suited for fingerstyle. With its deceptively larger body, it still provides plenty of overtones and fullness. It has a contemporary sound that supports vocals well, making it a great guitar in a band setting, or for solo singer-songwriters.

Takamine TP-4TD Preamp System

The onboard Takamine TP-4TD preamp system includes a built-in tuner, a three-band EQ, and gain controls, allowing players to shape their sound with precision and ensuring excellent amplified tone suitable for various performance settings. The TP-4TD is designed for use with Takamine’s G Series guitars and features a dual-input system for use with a split-saddle pickup. Whether you’re performing live, recording in the studio, or writing songs at home, this system delivers rock-solid amplified performance and versatility.
