Headway HC-URUSHI/Coffee’25/STD CLG
A unique collaboration between Headway’s guitar artisans and Urushi-lacquer artisans has led to the creation of guitars using Coffee Tree wood, which resonates with coffee culture. Two color schemes inspired by coffee were developed, and a thin Urushi lacquer finish maximizes the wood's natural resonance. The Coffee wood, native to the Midwestern U.S., is hard and lightweight, producing a bright tone. This wood has historical ties to Native American customs and European coffee-drinking culture. The guitars feature a “34 Bracing” layout, providing a sound that combines soft harmonics with a punchy, warm tone reminiscent of a café latte, perfect for relaxing with coffee.
What is Urushi?
Urushi lacquer coating is a thin film (about 0.05mm) that adheres better than solvent-based paints, providing high durability. Its thinness allows the wood's natural resonance to shine through, while also offering decay prevention, water resistance, and insect repellent properties. Over time, the urushi lacquer enhances the beauty of the instrument, evolving as the player continues to use it.

Refund/returning items
We do not accept order changes after the confirmation and payment of your order. After your product is delivered, Refunds are only possible if it is caused by our error (damaged/defective product, or incorrect item, etc.). To help us ascertain if your refund request is possible, please provide us with specific reasons for your refund request (reasons supported with photos where possible) via email to: enquiry@davisguitar.com – Please include your address too.
If the refund/return is approved, we shall provide you with an address for you to post the items you wish to return to. Please have the items in proper packaging and mail it back to the address we provide strictly within 2 days from receiving your items. The length of time your Refund in transit is beyond our control, your bank or credit card company may require additional period of time to process your refund and for the refund to be reflected in your account.
