Equipped with 85/15 “S” pickups flanking a PRS-Designed AS-01 Single Coil “S” pickup in the middle position, the AS-01 Single Coil combines alnico and steel to enhance the pickups’ power. Alongside a push-pull tone control and 3-way pickup switch, this pickup/electronics setup offers a wide range of sounds. Additionally, the inclusion of PRS’s patented tremolo adds further flexibility. The PRS SE Swamp Ash Special delivers a balanced tone with tight lows, bright yet warm highs, and a lively twang suitable for various genres like “hot country,” blues, and even jazz.
