Japan Tune-up’s first model with Sakura wood back & sides
Introducing the inaugural Japan Tune-up Series model crafted with Sakura, or Japanese cherry wood, for the body—previously reserved for only high-end models. This model not only lets you experience the distinctive and vibrant sound of Sakura wood, but also features a coloring and design that reflect our extensive expertise in cherry blossom guitar production, infused with the enchanting allure of Japanese cherry blossoms.
This model features “JS” in its name, signifying “Japanese Sakura,” to highlight that the guitar is crafted from Japanese cherry wood. The back and sides are constructed from laminated Japanese Sakura wood.
The finish showcases a transparent gradient, developed through over a decade of expertise in cherry blossom guitar production. This enhances the beauty of the distinct grain patterns inherent to each individual piece of cherry blossom wood.
Cherry blossoms are a beloved springtime tradition in Japan, and Headway has crafted several beautifully designed variations, including the “Winter Cherry Blossoms” and “Summer Cherry Blossoms” models. These designs merge the cherry blossom motif with each of the four seasons. Each model utilizes colors chosen from Headway’s unique color palettes representing the seasons, allowing you, the player, to select the image that best reflects your personality and playstyle.
The headstock and fretboard feature a stunning cherry blossom design, commonly found on various Sakura guitar models. Crafted from natural mother-of-pearl shell, the material alters its light reflection based on the viewing angle, enhancing the guitar’s distinctive character and ensuring it truly stands out.
The fretboard is crafted from high-density micarta, known for its dark appearance similar to ebony and outstanding durability.
