Most notably used by Frank Zappa, the Systech Harmonic Energiser is a super rare filter distortion. These are abrasive and ultra-resonant filter sounds. The Do The Weasel Stomp! has faithfully recreated the original Harmonic Energiser circuit and also features a switchable fuzz circuit akin to the 70’s IC Muff Fuzz, also featuring additional mini-pots to adjust opamp gain and fuzz volume for ‘barking’ filter sounds. For bizarre and unique fuzz-wah esque tones, the Do The Weasel Stomp! is unique and has an immense amount to offer, this is gritty and static harmonic fuzz and abrasive growls, with the expression pedal input providing excellent sweep effects.
The Expression pedal input works with expression pedals with 50k pots, with 0-50k resistance from ring to tip. Fredric recommend the Behringer FCV100 exp/volume as an easily obtainable, cheap and rugged match.
