Description
The Vintage Staggered Stratocaster pickups (SSL-1) feature hand-ground alnico 5 rod magnets and heavy Formvar wire, creating a bright, glassy tone reminiscent of 1950s Strat pickups. They deliver a crisp treble attack, articulate low end, and clear note separation in chords.
The three pickup combination features a standard neck and bridge pickup along with an RWRP middle pickup for noise cancellation. Since 1978, vintage Fender-style single coil pickups have been crafted with appropriate Forbon flatwork and period-correct magnet stagger. Each pickup includes waxed cloth pushback wires and a traditional keyed bottom plate, with hand-filed flatwork and lacquered bobbins, replicating Fender’s Golden Age craftsmanship.
The Vintage Staggered for Strat pickups are hand built in Santa Barbara, CA and are potted in our wax formulation for squeal free performance.
- Neck/Middle/Bridge position models will have the same output, wind direction and magnetic polarity.
- Middle RwRP position (reverse wind/reverse polarity) – choose this to have a pickup that will be hum-cancelling with one of our neck or bridge models.
- All sets, except the Jimi Hendrix signature model, come with a Middle RWRP as the Middle Pickup.
